Only in the depths of one's heart, does the truth live. A person finds a reason for existing, a passion, a love.
On that stage, people found themselves, and felt whole...
And so, time passes, walls crumble, moments are lost...
But, there are those who shall never leave. Those who dare not venture out of the place that filled their being.
Not in life, and not after.
From time to time, if you are lucky, you just might catch a glimpse of where they chose to stay...
Forever more.

What a breathtaking theater... all the more lovely for its decay. And that piano piece tugged at all the right places in my heart. <3

Beautiful images of the ravages of time and neglect. I especially like the ghostly pair. For some reason they make me think of the Danse Macabre chapter of The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman.

The ghost of actors who so loved the stage in life, chose to stay there in death. I can relate.

Also... the picture of the stage looks like it could be right out of Phantom of the Opera. <3

Oh be still my beating heart!!! Such loveliness among the decay. Wouldn't it be grand to have tea on that stage and watch the shadows dance across the way?

What hauntingly, beautiful music. Isn't it amazing what music does for the soul? And the images of the trees are equally 'other worldly'.
Did I tell you my oldest son, Troy, who is 28 (going to be 29 in October) has composed music for my brother's book 'The Dragon of Cripple Creek' if it gets made into a movie? He has a full score (not yet written down, but in his head and he has played it for me on the keyboard). And, yes, he has a good friend who has helped him to record it on a CD. Both of my sons, Todd, who is 21, and Troy are amazingly gifted at playing the piano. My daughter, Lavender, is actually the one who can read music rapidly. She is 32. And I also play the piano (humble pie). We all play by ear, and I can read music too, but I 'cheat' as I will have someone play a piece and proceed to 'improvise' and 'act' like I am reading the music after they show me what the melody is. And I have enjoyed your flights of fancy when you have shared your piano playing while accompanying Mr. Lovee with your antics in your short videos with your dolls on your stage. And I know you have featured your brother's piano playing at times too, and he is very good!
And that theatre is incredible in the first photo, absolutely creepy, beautiful!
I do love Edgar Allan Poe's poetry. He ignites a Victorian mood in me, although it may be a haunted mood. I could go on forever, talking about this subject.
Remember to view some of the videos on You Tube of 'The Children of Green Knowe' a British film series of ghosts of children in an ancient house...they never left the house~
