A real life witches cottage...
Imagine???
I want to go there.
You know...
I grew up with real witches in my family.
The tales are vast and fascinating.
They were my great great aunts.
On my maternal grandfather's side.
They put a nasty spell on my grandma because they were jealous of her.
She went blind for a while when she was young.
It's a long story, but they tricked her with eye drops, and it was poison instead.
Luckily she got her sight back, but suffers from eye stuff that no doctor can figure out.
The witches also would pay all the kids 25cents (lots of money at that time) to bring them horny toads and all sorts of creepy crawlers.
There is a witches cottage on my granny's property.

Does it say where this cottage is located? It looks like something straight out of a real Harry Potter witches house. When I visited my sister in Massachusetts she would NOT venture into Salem...as she did not like the vibes from the town...as there ARE real witches there. We drove by it on the freeway back there, within a mile of where it was...she pointed and said 'Salem is over there...and I don't want to go there.'
I actually would have at least liked to have driven through the town just to say I had been there. Maybe they would have put a spell on me... I adore the movie 'Hocus Pocus' too!

What a spooky enchanted cottage. I love it. Ever since I read your story of the Witches cottage to my twin hatters, they have begged me to take them there to sneak up on the cottage and spy.
I wish I could find one around here to adventure to with them. I will let you know if I ever do.

Ooh cute cute cottage but scary scary witches. I too grew up with those sort of inklings and I find them to be frightening indeed. scary tales I could tell, but then neither of us could sleep at night :-(.
